Amahoro Fc vs Eleven Spanners |
Amahoro to their credit gave Spanners a game with the likes of the stout built Alex at the belly of the park dictating terms with his deft touches and amazing football skills. It took them just ten minutes to make their presence felt when the normally reliable Spanners defender Ude was dispossessed off the ball by Emily, who made a pass to Brayo who took a shot and all that we saw was the net moving and Nchimunya did not know what hit him, what a goal to score against your former team.
This young, vibrant team did not show Spanners any respect, as they attacked and outplayed them for the duration of the first half.
Amahoro continued from where they left off in the first half as they enjoyed most of the ball position but some poor decision making and inexperience let them down. It took the introduction of the skillful Sangu in the 70th minute to put some life into Spanner's game, as he used his pace to his advantage to outrun the Amahoro defence and square for his teammates, but it looked like it was not going to be Spanner's day until the 85th minute when they were given a controversial penalty for what looked like a ball to the hand. Their captain inspirational Bakasa stepped up and slotted the ball to the back of the net, although the keeper looked like he had it, 1 all final score.
